Godalming Woolsack Rotary Club is based in the historic wool and coaching town of Godalming, Surrey. The Club was founded in 1992 as an extension to the long-established Rotary Club of Godalming. Woolsack Members meet on Mondays at 7:30pm for dinner at 8pm, usually at the West Surrey Golf Club.
Members are business and professional men and women who either live or work in the locality. Those who have retired to the Godalming area are also welcome to join. Female partners and acquaintances of Rotarians can become members of Inner Wheel which operates as a separate Club.
Rotary is an International Organisation which acts at the local level through committed men and women drawn from all walks of life. There are over 31,000 Clubs worldwide with more than one million members united in a common goal and working to:
provide humanitarian service to the community at local, national and international level
encourage high ethical standards in all vocations
promote goodwill and peace in the world.
Attendance at Woolsack meetings is open to all Rotarians and their guests who should book no later than the preceding Thursday night. The programme of meetings and booking in details can be found by following the link to the Club Diary.

Could Rotary be rewarding for you?
Do you lead a busy life with many calls on your time?
Do you seldom seem to have time to spare?
And yet do you still feel there is something missing?
After years spent building a career, a family or a lifestyle, do you feel it would be good to put something back into your community, to see how you could help some of the less fortunate people around you and have a lot of fun and good fellowship doing it?  If your answers are mainly Yes! then joining a Rotary Club may be just what you need. Rotarians are foremost a very friendly group of men and women and you will receive a warm invitation to join us at any of our meetings even if you do not know anyone in the club.
Ring Membership Secretary Ian Coult on 01483 417269 or Publicity Secretary Tony Luscombe on 01483 420451 for further details.
Moses Koroma was inducted into the Woolsack Club on Monday 7th September. Moses is a lawyer and is already much involved in public service with the Crown Prosecution Service and work for charitable organisations. He introduced two colleagues from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to talk to us about their work - Laura Plant and Michael Spong.  Read on . . ..
Mind how you go!
