Committee Structure

Club Service

The Club Service Committee, which is chaired by the vice-President, runs the day to day activities of the Club. These include choice of venue, planning of the  programme and the keeping of attendance records.

Youth

The Youth Opportunities Committee supports youth projects both locally and internationally.

Foundation

Foundation is the Charity of Rotary International which is funded by donations from individual Clubs. One of the major projects supported by Foundation is Polio Plus, a joint scheme run by Rotary and the United Nations who are seeking to eradicate polio worldwide through mass vaccination.

Fundraising

The Fundraising Committee organises the events which raise funds for the varied projects supported by the Club.

Health and Safety

Health and Safety is managed by the Club Protection Officer who carries out a risk analysis for each event.

International

Overseas charity projects and contact with foreign Rotary Clubs are the responsibility of the International Committee.

Social

Social events include the President’s Evening, inner circle events and meetings of the Curry Club (usually at a pub instead!).

Sports

The Sports Officer organises inter-Club sports such as golf, skittles and darts.

Vocational

Vocational projects include training, mock interviews, encouraging the development of skills, and fostering high standards in business and the professions.

Community Service

The Community Service team is responsible for maintaining contacts with the local community and for offering support where appropriate.

Convention

Exceptionally, in the 2010/11 Rotary year, the club is assisting in running the District 1250 Convention which takes place in Warwick in September 2010.
