Other Charities
Each year the club supports a wide range of other charities and worthy causes. Some are international, especially following major disasters such as earthquakes, but most are local.
In 2011-12, the club donated over £16,000 in support of 31 international and local charitable organisations and causes. These included The Prostate Project, Go for Gold, Country Mice, Rotary Foundation, Skillway, local schools  and youth development.

Year 2010/11

Skillway's aim is to raise the self-esteem and motivation of teenagers through apprentice-style teaching of manual skills in its own workshops by skilled craftsmen. The pressure of academic work under the National Curriculum and the implications of League Tables can lead many students to undervalue themselves. By achieving certificates that can lead to NVQ or Accreditation under the Open College Network from one or more of our programmes, Skillway hopes to change this by encouraging the concept that success can lead to success.

Further information available at http://www.skillway.org.uk

President Ian Smith nominated Skillway as the Club’s main charity of his year. Skillway is a beneficiary of the Warehouse Christian Trust which was the Club’s chosen charity 2003/4. Club members have also been tutors at Skillway.

Year 2011/12
President Tony nominated four local charities, the largest of which, The Prostate Project, has national importance. The Prostate Project supports RSCH Guildford, St Luke’s Cancer Centre and Frimley Park Hospital in funding equipment and specialist nurses for the detection and treatment of prostate cancer.
The club also supported the Sport Godalming Go for Gold champions fund to provide additional support to Olympic hopefuls from the Godalming area.
Country Mice is a Charitable Trust based in Milford and supporting patients who are terminally ill.
The club also continued its support for Skillway for a further year.
Year 2012/13
President David Hughes nominated two local charities, The Clockhouse (new) and Skillway (supported last year), two charities with national significance - The Prostate Project (supported last year) and Stroke Association (new) plus an international charity, The Wheelchair Foundation.
The Clockhouse is a social centre for older people based in Milford. It provides a safe and welcoming place for older people to meet, make friends, take lunch and enjoy a wide variety of activities and outings. With its own building and transport, The Clockhouse offers support, friendship and inclusion to older people in the local rural community.
Stroke Association provides high quality, up to date Stroke information for stroke patients, families and carers.
The Wheelchair Foundation is a non-profit organisation with a goal to provide a free wheelchair to every child, teen and adult worldwide who needs one, but has no means to acquire one.
