BIFF HARRISON
Founder member of The Whoopee Band.
Musical saw, Strohviol, banjo, accordion, piano
& occasional dancer. Biff attempts to keep the show in some kind of order – not always
the easiest of jobs with so many creative talents on the loose.
SAM SPOONS
Founder member of The Whoopee Band.
Drums, percussion, spoons, fiddle and loud singer. Sam's approach to music is spirited
and individual, as those who try to follow him can testify. Sheds built while you
listen.
Founder member of The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band & The Whoopee Band.
JIM 'GOLDEN BOOTS' CHAMBERS
Founder member of The Whoopee Band.
Alto and soprano saxophones, clarinet, ocarina and brave singer. Famous for his poetry, footwear and naturally curly hair. Jim is never slow to comment upon the action.
JOHN GIEVES-
Original member of The Temperance Seven and The Whoopee Band.
Very large banjo, tap
dancer, unusual effects and strange voice. Known as 'EVIL' for reasons which rapidly
become obvious, this character can be hissed and booed at frequent intervals throughout
the performance.
MEGS ETHERINGTON
Original member of Harry Strutters and Rio Grande Hot Tango Orchestra.
Cornet, teapot,
ballroom dancer, ventriloquist and band padre. A member of The Church of Almighty
Sounds he holds forth with several morality tales and is renowned for his renditions
on the hot teapot.
RICHARD WHITE
Formerly with The Whoopee Band.
Bass saxophone, clarinet and piano. Playing hooky
from Prep. school, Richard adds musical weight to the ensemble and introduces us
to LITTLE JIM.
PETER SHADE
Formerly with The Whoopee Band and recently The National Theatre.
Pianoforte, accordion
and brass things. Fastest xylophone in the West. Peter is a prolific writer of witty
ditties and is the composer of that flab-
