BILL POSTERS WILL BE BAND - THE LINEUP

BIFF HARRISON

Founder member of The Whoopee Band.
Musical saw, Strohviol, banjo, accordion, piano & occasional dancer. Biff attempts to keep the show in some kind of order – not always the easiest of jobs with so many creative talents on the loose.

SAM SPOONS
Founder member of The Whoopee Band.

Drums, percussion, spoons, fiddle and loud singer. Sam's approach to music is spirited and individual, as those who try to follow him can testify. Sheds built while you listen.
Founder member of The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band & The Whoopee Band.

JIM 'GOLDEN BOOTS' CHAMBERS
Founder member of The Whoopee Band.

Alto and soprano saxophones, clarinet, ocarina and brave singer. Famous for his poetry, footwear and naturally curly hair. Jim is never slow to comment upon the action.

JOHN GIEVES-WATSON

Original member of The Temperance Seven and The Whoopee Band.
Very large banjo, tap dancer, unusual effects and strange voice. Known as 'EVIL' for reasons which rapidly become obvious, this character can be hissed and booed at frequent intervals throughout the performance.

MEGS ETHERINGTON

Original member of Harry Strutters and Rio Grande Hot Tango Orchestra.
Cornet, teapot, ballroom dancer, ventriloquist and band padre. A member of The Church of Almighty Sounds he holds forth with several morality tales and is renowned for his renditions on the hot teapot.

RICHARD WHITE

Formerly with The Whoopee Band.
Bass saxophone, clarinet and piano. Playing hooky from Prep. school, Richard adds musical weight to the ensemble and introduces us to LITTLE JIM.

PETER SHADE

Formerly with The Whoopee Band and recently The National Theatre.
Pianoforte, accordion and brass things. Fastest xylophone in the West. Peter is a prolific writer of witty ditties and is the composer of that flab-fighting exercise number – 'AQUAROBICS'.
